- What is the recommended maintenance for Shunya N-BOX series Mini Servers?
The Shunya N-BOX series Mini server is a reliable and low-maintenance mini server, but like any electronic device, it needs occasional care to keep it running smoothly.
1. Dusting: Regularly dust the vents on the Mini server to prevent overheating. You can use a compressed air can or a soft, dry cloth.
2. Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior of the Mini server with a damp cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. Avoid using harsh chemicals or cleaners.
3. Software updates: Keep your operating system and drivers up to date to ensure optimal performance and security. Most updates can be installed automatically, but you can also check for updates manually.
4. Disk defragmentation: If you add a traditional HDD, defragmenting the disk regularly can improve performance. This process rearranges files on the disk to optimize read/write speeds. SSDs do not require defragmentation.
- What is the warranty and support policy for Shunya N-BOX series ?
Limited Warranty
"This Limited Warranty ("Warranty") pertains to the hardware product which came along with this user manual, as included in the product packaging and supplied to the original purchaser ("Customer"). By utilizing the specific product described herein, the Customer agrees to adhere to the terms outlined in this Warranty."
1. Duration of Warranty:
The Manufacturer warrants the Product against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of one year from the date mentioned on invoice as purchase date, by the Customer ("Warranty Period").
2. Warranty Coverage:
During the Warranty Period, if a defect arises in the Product, and the Customer follows the instructions for returning the Product, the Manufacturer will, at its option, either:
a. Repair the Product using new or refurbished parts;
b. Replace the Product with a new or refurbished Product.
3. Exclusions:
This Warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
a. Accidents, misuse, or abuse;
b. Unauthorized modifications or repairs;
c. Acts of nature, including but not limited to lightning, flood, or fire;
d. Failure to follow the Product's instructions or improper installation.
4. Limitation of Liability:
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Manufacturer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the Product, including, but not limited to, data loss, downtime, or any damages due to overheating or any other unknown malfunction .
5. Customer's Responsibilities:
To receive warranty service, Customer must:
a. Provide proof of purchase;
b. Return the defective Product to the Manufacturer, following the provided instructions.
6. Entire Agreement:
This Warranty constitutes the entire agreement between the Seller and the Customer regarding the Product and supersedes all prior agreements or understandings, whether oral or written.
By using the Product, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms of this Limited Warranty.
- Does the Shunya N-BOX-J2 have TPM ?
No, Shunya N-BOX-J2 does not have TPM.
- Does the Shunya N-BOX-S3F have TPM ?
Optionally you can modify Shunya N-BOX-S3F to have support to TPM2.0 .
- How can I access the BIOS on Shunya N-BOX series ?
Turn off device. Press the Power Button and keep pressing
DELETEkey until you see the BIOS Setup. - Does the Shunya N-BOX-J2 come with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth built-in ?
No, but Shunya N-BOX-J2 has a mPCIe (mini PCIe) slot for WiFi and Bluetooth module. For large orders the device can be customized to include the supported WiFi and Bluetooth module.
